Janon G/C and Electrical Corp. began its operations in 1969 during a time of economic uncertainty and a growing unemployment rate. It was not a very good time to start a new business, but we had the belief that there was no better time then the present. It would take much more effort to stay ahead of our competition in the general contracting and electrical fields. We were correct. Our longstanding success is proof.

We started doing small residential renovations and slowly built a client database of people who were in need of electrical repairs and upgrades along with light general contracting work. Slowly the small jobs began to expand into much larger jobs, which included larger commercial jobs. We realized at that time we were on the path that we envisioned for Janon G/C and Electrical Corp.

Currently, commercial and industrial work constitutes for over 85% of our daily business. Some of our customers include: Globecomm Systems Inc. in Hauppauge, Crescent Packing Corp. in East Farmingdale, Jaina Network Systems in New Hyde Park and Galil Importing in Syosset, just to name a few. Each one of these businesses demand superior service. We at Janon are providing that service to them.

The Owners
Robert Wedderburn Jr. is currently President of Janon General Contracting and Electrical Corp. Robert Jr. took over the companies daily operations from his dad Robert Sr. and has continued in the excellence that made his father so successful: Honesty and Quality.

Robert Sr. had a vision and a dream in 1969, and today he can appreciate what he has accomplished in business for himself and his family. 40 years later, his son Bob Jr. has taken Janon G/C and Electric Corp to new heights in the contracting and electrical fields not only serving Nassau and Suffolk counties, but shortly Janon will be servicing the 5 boros.

Robert Jr.s credentials include the following: Dept of the Navy technical training electricians Mate "A", Master electricians license in Nassau and Suffolk counties, currently finalizing Master electricians license for NYC and 5 boros, Generac Class "A" generator technician certification and currently applying for his New Jersey and Westchester County licenses.
